New Offering: Film Sessions

FILM SESSIONS

We are excited to announce the new offering within Tekkers Media. With almost every game being recorded, there are ample opportunities to watch back your game film. Most clubs actually mandate having their games recorded these days for league. The benefits of being able to rewatch your performances and objectively pinpoint moments to learn from will only allow you to become a better soccer player. Figuring out what you are looking for can be difficult. Tekkers Media will offer film sessions where we will sit down with you and review your game film. Our media staff will watch your game film prior to the session and be ready to give constructive feedback regarding your performances.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

The breakdown of a typical film session will be similar to the following. Leading up to your designated time to meet with our film staff, whether it is in person or via online, our staff will sit down and watch your actions from your most recent game and analyze each individual moment. This gives us the opportunity to be prepared entering the film session to pick out important moments to help you grow. We don’t want half the film session to be about finding key moments, as that is not a productive use of anyone's time.

During the film session, we will highlight various aspects of your performance, both positive and negative, to bring some added insight into key moments. Things such as body positioning, off-the-ball movement, decision making, and spatial awareness are some of the different areas we will focus on when picking out moments to highlight. All of the areas can be tailored to positionally specific moments.

Film sessions will be an ongoing dialogue with a player. Everyone has a different playing style or can see a moment differently, and we will encourage players to share what they thought, as it will help us maybe put a different perspective on that moment, and it gives us as staff insight into what goes on in a player's head during a game and where we can find common ground on what we are dissecting. We want each player leaving each film session with a new perspective on certain moments to hopefully give them the tools to be more effective.

What you feel like happened vs. what actually happened in games can be cleared up by watching back specific moments. There might be only a handful of opportunities that you are called upon to create a goalscoring opportunity, and one wrong decision in that moment is the difference between a positive and negative action. Identifying moments through an objective lens gives players the intel they need to make those small adjustments to be more efficient in important in-game moments.

These film sessions are to bring an objective approach to a player's in-game performances to hopefully give insight into ways to improve certain actions so they are able to have more success in future similar moments.

HOW TO GET SIGNED UP

To get set up, head to the Film Sessions tab. From there, you will be brought to a screen that will prompt you to purchase a package. Once the package is purchased or an initial inquiry has been set up, we will line up times with our staff to get you setup and determine which film staff member will be best to meet with given your player profile.
